Bio
I am an Assistant Professor of Mathematics Education in the School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. I have research interests in undergraduate mathematics education and mathematics teacher preparation. Before coming to UTRGV, I received my Ph.D. in Mathematics from Virginia Tech in 2021, and I received Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mathematics from the University of Alabama. I am originally from Orange, California.

Employment
I am a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Mathematics Education at UTRGV. I have worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Virginia Tech, serving as an instructor of record for undergraduate mathematics courses. I have also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant on Megan Wawro's NSF-funded grant, CAREER: An Interdisciplinary Study of Learning: Student Understanding of Linear Algebra in Physics.
Service Roles
I serve as the Programming Coordinator on the executive committee of the Special Interest Group of the Mathematical Association of America on Research in Undergraduate Mathematics Education.
